Unless you’re planning to go to a potluck dinner with a lot of people & everyone will need a container to take some food home... I’ve actually considered carrying my own containers when I go out places - at least to replace the box I use when I bring half my meal home. Yeah, I'm with the rest. Toss it. You'll feel lighter, and I mean that literally. "Out of sight, out of mind" doesn't work for me. I know it's in the closet, lurking, still to be dealt with. Once it's gone I feel so much better. But only if it's going to the recycling! Garbage-ing it continues to haunt me :)jenny_ohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15475480579733466963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5123631695572626256.post-3267998346232565492017-10-15T17:12:34.759+01:002017-10-15T17:12:34.759+01:00Yup, we have a closet full of plastic, too. We keep about ten on hand and recycle the rest. We've also gotten some nice glass containers with lids and are trying to limit the amount of plastic we use. Sometimes I wonder how our little efforts could have any impact whatsoever on the plastic plague of our oceans, but then I think if we don't do it, who will? Nice coin you found there!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5123631695572626256.post-10689317727008464972017-10-15T15:04:16.754+01:002017-10-15T15:04:16.754+01:00The issue of plastic containers around here is maj...The issue of plastic containers around here is major.the number 35 isn't even close. You can't use the thirty you put in the high closet so better to allow the plastic to be recycled into something useful. 37paddingtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12400464105403622384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5123631695572626256.post-52356388179686800152017-10-15T14:24:51.551+01:002017-10-15T14:24:51.551+01:00Get rid of the containers you culled. They are doing the universe no more good in your closet than in a recycling bin. As you say, they can be very useful for fridge storage etc.. However, the maximum number we would ever require is ten and we also have about thirty of them. Sometimes daily life seems to be a struggle between the urge to retain, to save, to hoard and the urge to live in an ultra neat and tidy IKEA-like environment.Yorkshire Puddinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06019673884543913089noreply@blogger.com
