Here are a few more views of yesterday's activities, if you can call them that:
I lay on the couch and read all of "Party Monster" by James St. James, his first-hand account of the drug-fueled escapades of New York nightclub promoter Michael Alig and the "Club Kids," which led ultimately to murder. It was an entertaining book, but man, those people were a mess. All of them.
Otherwise, I cleaned. I watered the plants. Ho hum.
Today, though, is BIG excitement because I AM FINALLY OUT OF ISOLATION! I can go back to work and life as usual. I am still very slightly positive by lateral flow test, but apparently that condition can persist for a while even though I'm no longer considered infectious. I am so ready to get out of this house.

Congratulations on being sprung! (Although, from the looks of it, Olga was fine with the way things were.)
I don't think there has ever been a day when I haven't opened the front door, even if its been 43 degrees.
Re the book, celebutant is a new word for me. It seems interesting. I will look to find out how much the eBook costs.
Covid free, you can skip down the street now with gay abandon.
If only every citizen, knowingly infected with COVID, had been as conscientious about isolation as you and Dave have been. I hope you have a good week back at work.
What wonderful photos of Olga. I used to love to watch my little dog sleep. I am so jealous of all the beautiful spring flowers that are blooming in your garden. My flowers won't even think of blossoming for a couple more months. Enjoy them, and have a super day, hugs, Edna B.

Congrats! Enjoy the outside world.
Everybody needs a day off from life once in awhile.
Yes, as Yorkshire says, good for you. Funny how with COVID, the more conscientious are the ones who pay by being stuck at home.
Good news on being released from COVID Jail.
I like Olga's idea of how to spend a Sunday!
Party Monster was a good, sad, depressing, book. Those Club Kids were a mess.
You would never make it in jail...Maybe this covid isolation thing is just practice. Olga is a good teacher.
Whoot!! Fly free!
Go join the rest of humanity! Can you imagine how immune you are now? You could be a Party Monster. (Please don't.)
I feel like Olga these days.
That's pretty much how our Saturday went though the sweeping and plant watering happened on Sunday along with some outside activity. Glad you are finally out of house arrest.
So good to know you are heading back to work and the routine of life. Take care there. Stay safe and well.
The photos of Olga capture the cool gray of nothing-to-do winter days.
Yay! You are back among the unwashed masses. Well, hopefully most of them have washed. Your rainy day photos look just about perfect to me.
That sounds like a lovely day! I had to go to church in the pouring rain. Ugh.
Yay for being sprung!
Looks like a perfect day to me!
Good luck at work! Hope you have a great day!
Peaceful day, and you sound so happy to be free, free, I tell you, channeling early movies here.
Happy Valentine's Day if you observe it.
That Olga know how to get snooze on! It is cool and rainy here today. After walking the dogs and working around the house for 5 hours, Clove and I are doing impressions of your photos. Enjoy the first "normal" day you have had for a while!
These photos of Olga have made my day. 🥰 I hope your first day back in the real world is going great!
Glad to hear you are through the covid. Hope there are no lasting effects.
Olga and I had almost the exact poses yesterday. I was in a lot of pain and I barely made it out of bed the entire day.
Have a fantastic day back to work and living life! xx
The rain makes me feel like Olga. Yay for being out of isolation!
I've been reading along but not commenting but just have to celebrate with you that you are free :)
And also to say that although I enjoy all your photos, my number one most favourite subject is Olga girl :D LOVE these shots. That pink tummy and sleeping smile just about do me in!
Olga looks like a champion napper and she looks so content.
Funny photos. I've just finished T.C. Boyle's "Talk to Me". Like many of his works it's a tad bizarre but really picks up in the second half.
Olga has the right idea...
I have blanket nap days like that all winter.
I think she was ready for us to be gone, honestly, so she could sleep uninterrupted!
It's a rarity for us too! And yes, the book was interesting and very campy (until it was tragic).
We tried to do the right thing but it IS difficult -- and we're in the enviable position of being able to take paid sick leave. I can see how someone who goes unpaid when they can't work would be tempted to curtail or shirk isolation.
She is a very peaceful and sound sleeper. There's something very comforting about listening to her snore! (As she's doing now.)
She was very happy, no doubt! (I knew you'd like those pictures. :) )
Woo hoo! Freedom!
Or ten days, as the case may be. :)
Isn't that always the way, though? People who are efficient get saddled with more work. Rule-followers endure the unpleasantness of following the rules.
They really were. I sort of felt bad for them, but they definitely did it to themselves.
Ha! Hopefully I'll never find out what jail is like!
Woo hoo!
Well, hopefully, but I've heard conflicting reports about how well protected those who have had Covid are -- and how long that protection lasts.
Well, it's good that you got outside, anyway!
She is not interested in going outside, between the dampness and the chill.
Ha! Yeah, I'm hoping for washed masses, at least!
Hope you had your umbrella handy!
Olga thought so.
Thank you!
Thanks! We aren't very into Valentines' Day. We ignored it.
Cool and rainy sounds nice, especially where you are.
It was busy but good!
Nah -- we're both back to normal, thank goodness.
Sorry about the pain! Hope things get better quickly!
There's a biological imperative built into all of us that makes us want to hibernate when it's rainy and cold!
I'm glad you get a kick out of the Olga pics. I love the pink spotted tummy too!
Yeah, if it were an Olympic sport she'd be a finalist.
I haven't read that one, but I really like his other books and stories. (The ones I have read, obviously.)
Definitely!
It's good February behavior. (In summer, she'd be doing the same thing but on the lawn in the sun!)
