Hiatus

I have blatantly stolen Barbara's "hiatus" artwork, such that it is. I'm not really feeling the blogging urge these days, so I think I'll close up shop for a little while and just coast. I write and spend so much time on the computer at work that I've lost any and all enthusiasm for doing so in my off hours. I'll keep visiting the rest of you, though!

  1. I'll miss you Steve, but I totally get it. You're probably in a gathering cycle rather than a sowing cycle, as in gathering new experiences and letting them build to the next thing, whatever that is.

You are one of my touchstones, friend. I'll still be here whenever you feel the urge to come back. See you then.

  3. Echoing what Angella and Reya said. When the sponge feels wrung out, you have to let it sit and soak a while. You're in my feed reader, so I'll "see" you when you return to posting again. In the meantime, enjoy!

  4. I've been feeling the same way - it's an obligation & not a joy these days. If I don't change my tune in the next week or so I might steal the hiatus artwork too!

I'll be here when/if you come back.

P.S. Thanks for giving us some notice & not just dropping off the face of blogland :)

  5. Boo! Just when I decided to rejoin (sort of) the Blogging fray. It's hard to go cold turkey on writing (or so I found in my almost week off.) I did find I spent far less time on my computer during that time and I think that's probably a good thing. Ar this point I have one foot in the Blogging world and the the other some place else. I'm glad I no longer feel any obligation to write. It will hopefully be more fun this way.

I do expect to hear from you by email occasionally, especially if you are coming south for a visit!

For those of you stealing the Hiatus artwork, I must confess to having stolen it first. So you have my complete permission to use it!

  8. I'll pass by the closed shop from time to time and see if there is any life about. I'd like to borrow that red leaf if I may?
Enjoy your time in the real world...

  10. I like how Angella put it. Gather baby, gather. There are some intense bloggers out here - blogging every day seems like such a unnecessary obligation if it is not creating some sense of joy for you. When you are back in the sowing cycle I'll be back.

    Enjoy your puppies.

  11. I hear that!
I closed up shop too for a while, but now I've reopened the gates.
Now I just need to think of something to write. ;)
