Bail Bonds

Here's another Florida photo, taken on the highway near my mom's house. Needless to say, the county jail is not far away!

I don't have anything else for you today. Yesterday was pretty mundane and I haven't even taken any photos in London since my return. I suppose no news is good news, right?

As John Denver famously sang, "Some days are diamonds, some days are stones."

I don't remember that line of John Denver's. It sounds like something Charlie Brown would say also --

And once again, your photo is superb. What I have learned from looking at your photos over the years I've been reading your blog, Steve, is that the photographer, when he's good or resonant (like you) is able to give us different eyes -- almost like slipping in a pair of contacts make your own eyes a different color. Does that make sense? I actually see the world sometimes, i think, like you do. I see a storefront and think of you and your photos, your eyes become mine for that moment.

What strikes me about your photos is how very familiar I am with the Florida ones and how the ones you take in London and on your travels in Europe and in London are windows into such a different world.
I love them all.

I'm enjoying your photos :o) You have a good eye! I like how you share a slice of your day with each one.

Thank you!

Elizabeth: Thanks so much for your comment! It's cool to think I'm helping others see things in a new way -- see the ordinary as extraordinary. :) I feel like that's kind of my mission. I belatedly linked to the John Denver song -- it was in the top 40 in the early '80s but it's not one of his big hits.

Ms. Moon: Yeah, I'm sure the Florida ones look like home to you!

BJ: Thanks! Sometimes a slice is all my day is worth. :)
