Blue Jay

Here are some photos of one of my current favorite pieces of street art, by the artist Elbow-Toe. Great stuff, huh?

Yesterday I went walking in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and found tons more art. So if you're into it, stay tuned on my Flickr!

How did Elbow-Toe come to be called that? He seems to have a good grasp of bird anatomy! Great detail for street art.

That's awesome! It almost looks likes it's been tattoo'd on . . . I've had a few Hummingbirds in my Buffalo yard, and birds are great company.

yes, what's his medium? This is great; it's so detailed, you must be able to see him in action.

Everybody: I'm not sure exactly how Elbow-Toe produces these pieces. He must cut the design into some kind of solid surface (wood or linoleum) and print from that. I'll see if I can find out.

The story I heard re. his name is that it's a spoof of Neckface, a well-known graffiti artist in New York and elsewhere.
